Living a life like navy? Yes, you can!
This Rahmat Maritime Museum is located at Lumut Waterfront Marina Wing, Lumut, Perak. So, if you are heading to Pangkor Island, do not forget to step on to this majestic war ship and feel its vibe.
Previously known as KD RAHMAT, she (yes! This ship is a “she”) was long serving for the Royal Malaysian Navy since 1967. With a rustic-y look, I do personally think that she is something worth to hop on for. Big, bold, and beauty!
To reach her, you need to across a woody bridge. Beware of your steps, especially your child, since it is quite scary. Before entering the museum, you need to pay for RM12 (Adult) and RM7 (Children, Student with ID & Senior citizen). But if you want to experience living inside this museum for an overnight, they charge you for RM50/person (without meal and minimum 15pax).
When I was entering her, I did not think that she is a big girl. Lots and lots of room that we can discover. Dorm, kitchen, engine room, meeting room, living room, bathroom, you name it. It is like a whole building in one pack who can sail. One thing that I am excited about her in the dock which is spacious and photogenic. You can see the blue sky on top of your head, you can see a crystal clear water at the bottom and you can feel the breezing air all over your face.
Definitely going back again to this museum to snap more cool photos!
