Who doesn’t know Genting Highland? One of the most visited tourist places in Malaysia, due to its various attractions for family to have some fun. Some of the tourists find it difficult to get any information on how to get to Genting Highland. So, here are some options that you can choose:

By Bus

There are two busses to Genting Highland, Express Bus and AeroBus.

By Car

Drive your car around 35km from Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highland. I really like this choice but be ready for an uphill drive along the way. Means, a tip top condition of your car is a must. You may choose to drive and park at the cable cars’ station or hike even more and reach the top. Prepare around RM50-60 for gas and RM15-20 for tolls. I personally like to drive until the station and experience the cable cars while watching the view from above.

By Taxi

Taxi can be an alternative to come to Genting Highland as well. Same like driving, just ask the driver to drop you to the cable cars’ station or until the top. The metered taxi flag-off rate is RM3 with RM0.10 charged every 115 meters. If you are stuck in the traffic jam, the fare will be RM3.00 for the first 3 minutes, and RM0.10 for every subsequent 21 seconds. Please take note that, a 50% surcharge is levied between midnight and 6am.

Cable Cars

When you arrived at the cable car station, park your car inside the building and search for the ticketing counter. Do not worry, you won’t the pay the parking fee in this station. As for the cable cars, you will pay starting from RM6 for a one-way trip. Just take note that children under the height of 90cm is consider free, including my baby. Do not worry if you bring a luggage to the cable cars, you can simply bring it inside the gondola as long as it does not exceed the size (6cm x 36cm x 23cm).

Some options are available for you who would like to spend time in Genting Highland. Prepare it wisely according to your budget and timing. Happy holiday folks!
